IndigoWomen

Updated: May 6, 2022

It's essential to have a tribe of women that hype you up. That provides a safe space that reminds you to rest just as they encourage you to pursue the vision. That's the brand Shayna Renee Hammond has created with IndigoWomen, an organization and movement that uses coaching practices dedicated to creating spaces, methods,

and conditions for Black women in leadership to thrive.

So often, Black women are told we have "Black Girl Magic" so we can do it all. But there is a cost to bearing everything on our shoulders; it often results in guilt when we finally allow ourselves to rest. In this podcast episode, I learned so much about the importance of rest and its direct link to leadership. And don't worry for all those who don't consider themselves Black women; Shayna has a safe space for you. Purchase her book, Becoming an IndigoWoman, and join the book club!
